2017 Chenin Blanc

Chenin Blanc is a diverse varietal, long revered for its malleable nature. A winemaker’s dream this grape can express many facets. Ours reveals a crisp mineral laced acidity and a structure derived from being whole-cluster pressed and barrel fermented in neutral French Oak barrels in the sur lie method. The balance between structure and acid frames the wet stone, lemon verbena, nectarine, and Asian pear. This Chenin Blanc pairs wonderfully with trout, steamed clams, and poultry. We enjoy it most with a whole salt crusted Vermillion Rock Fish.
